We are a small but forward thinking practice, caring for about 5500 patients and based at the site of Heatherwood Hospital. The practice is run by a principal partner and trainer Dr Edward Williams with a multidisciplinary clinical team comprising of a 3 practice nurses, a paramedic practitioner, a first contact physiotherapist, a clinical Pharmacist, and three salaried GP’s
The practice achieves exceptionally highly with its QOF targets and is driven by a focus on patient care. The practice is a driving force for utilising technology to support the patient experience and has online consultations embedded into its appointments offer. The practice offers a wide range of primary care services, including, minor surgery/ joint injections, dermoscopy and a robust month of birth recall system for chronic disease management. There are dedicated practice staff as well as visiting peripatetic staff providing support in areas that include counselling, social prescribing and MSK physiotherapy. Care is also provided to two local nursing homes.
The practice aims to offer an individualised learning programme to all its trainees to support development of their identified needs, strengths and interests as well as general skills. Trainees will be supported to participate in all aspects of practice life to ensure a well-rounded experience.
