Kings Corner Surgery is located in Sunninghill, which is a leafy part of Berkshire about 1 mile from Ascot. The surgery has been very well established for over 40 years, and used to be referred to as “The White Bungalow” prior to being moved into the existing building.
The surgery is purpose built serving approximately 7500 patients, with the majority of patients being from a well-educated and affluent background. Our population mix includes white and other British, East Europeans, South Asian, and South African patients amongst others. We have a significant number of elderly patients in our practice list. We are within easy access of the M3 and M25 motorways, Heathrow Airport and London.
Kings Corner has 4 GPs and 3 Practice nurses. We are a forward thinking practice in that we are paperless and are actively involved with the local CCG, especially as one of our colleagues is a director of Quality for the CCG. Our team specialises in generalist skills as well as Women’s health, Paediatrics, Urology, Minor surgery and Diabetes. We are fortunate to have District nurses and the Community matron on site regularly. The practice has been rated as “Good” following an inspection by the Clinical Quality Commission in October 2014.
GP training can involve a lot of work and the practice hopes to support the Registrar through the year as well as provide a safe, fun and satisfying learning and working environment.
